FLAT FEES
In most cases, we will quote a fixed fee for any planning services we render, with a typical minimum of $600*. The actual fee we propose to you will be based upon a variety of factors, such as:
> What value do we expect to create for you, and how soon?
> What is the nature of the engagement? Comprehensive? Limited? Narrowly targeted?
> What is the anticipated duration/intensity of the engagement?
> How involved would you like us to be with the oversight and implementation of your plan?
> How well is your current financial situation arranged and ordered?
> How urgent is your planning need/opportunity?
> Do you have special logistical needs (i.e. meeting outside of normal hours, or routinely off-site)?
HOURLY CONSULTATIONS
In cases where an hourly engagement is needed, our standard rates are as follows:
> Advisor time: $150/hour
> Advisor directed staff time: $35-$75/hour
TURNKEY INVESTMENT ADVISORY SERVICES
Investment advisory fees for third-party turnkey investment management programs are calculated as a percentage of assets under management (AUM) and currently range from .2% up to .5% of AUM. Effective January 2008 for all new Burton Group Financial Advisors, LLC (BGFA) clients, these AUM percentage fees will be "passed through" without any fee layering paid to BGFA. In other words, you will pay these fees at the pure whole-sale rates (typically directly to the third-party firm) with no kick-back fees paid to BGFA or its advisors. Any compensation we derive from facilitating these relationships will be billed at our standard hourly rates or at a mutually agreeable flat fee that is typically annual, semi-annual, or in some cases, bi-annual.
*Exceptions to fee minimums can be granted on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the advisor and the firm. In some cases, our program/service fees can be off-set or entirely underwritten by individual sponsors to make our services more readily available to low(er) net worth clients.
